Obituary of Edward A. Vitale Sr.

Edward A. Vitale Sr., age 80 of Chadds Ford, PA passed away on March 15, 2019. Born to Alphonse & Irma Rodebaugh Vitale and raised in Tinicum Twp., Edward resided the past 20 years in Chadds Ford, PA, previously residing in Swarthmore, PA. Edward served in the Air Force after graduating high school. He retired from BAX Global, formerly known as WTC Airfreight after many years. He was devoted to his faith, and a member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church. Ed was an avid Phillies fan. He worked as an usher for the Philadelphia Phillies for many years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his 3 siblings, Joseph, Alphonse & Irvin Vitale. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dolores M. Vitale (nee Martin), 3 children, Christine Vitale, Edward (Terri) Vitale Jr., and Monica (David) Styles, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, 9:00 - 10:15AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00AM at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 160 Ridge Rd., Chadds Ford, PA . Interment Private.
