Obituary of Suryakumar Shah

Suryakumar Shah, age 81, of Mays Landing, NJ passed away on September 6, 2018 at Christiana Care, Wilmington, DE. Born in India, Suryakumar had recently resided in Mays Landing, NJ for the past 10 years. He previously resided Memphis, TN, United Kingdom and many years in Australia. He received his PHD in Occupational Therapy, was a renowned professor, and was responsible for the publishing of numerous articles and groundbreaking research in neurology, stroke rehabilitation and Parkinson's. Dr. Surya Shah has been a leading occupational therapist for over six decades. He worked in four continents as a clinician, a private practitioner, an educator, a program chair, a researcher and a professional and personal mentor. His qualifications include OTD (India), PhD in "Stroke Rehabilitation" (UK), MEd (Australia), and OT/L (USA). Suryakumar is survived by his wife of 37 years, Anamika C. Shah and a daughter, Radhika Shah. A visitation will be held on Monday, 11-12 Noon at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA.
