Dear Annette: I was so saddened and dismayed to just now learn of Ben’s passing. He was such a character. Through all his illness and operations, Ben never lost hope or was bitter about the cards life dealt him. I drew my strength from his upbeat attitude and that gorgeous smile he always had. I know how much he appreciated your kindness and compassion towards him. It’s only my personal opinion but I truly believe that those souls who suffer pain and agony here on earth have a much quicker pathway to heaven than the rest of us. And God knows Ben suffered muchly this past year or two. But now he is out of pain and happy with his Lord and Savior for all eternity in heaven. Dear Family and friends, My heart was saddened to hear of the loss of Mr. Jones just yesterday. Fond memories of him from Chester High School (Class of '75) even though I was a poor typist. LOL! I treasure what he wrote in my yearbook, "Robbin, Best of luck to my favorite singer and student. Take care of yourself. I wish you happiness throughout your life. Remember me always. I am saddened to hear of Ben’s passing. I know he is in a better place but I will miss seeing him when I come back to Boothwyn. I have many fond memories of Ben and we shared a few jokes as well. I cherish the gift of a hand painted slate he gave to me and my late husband a few years ago. John loved talking to Ben about Wales. We once delivered a vase hand painted by Ben to his cousins in Wales, Don and Averil. My prayers and condolences go out to Ben’s family and all who loved him.
