Obituary of Carmen A. Pilone (Rescheduled to Friday)

Carmen A. Pilone, age 88, of Aston, PA passed away peacefully on March 2 , 2018. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Carmen has resided in Aston, PA since 1996 previously residing in South Philadelphia. He retired from MSC Industrial Supply after many years. Devoted to his faith, Carmen attended church daily and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He also was a member of Cursillo. Carmen was known as an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his family in Disney World. In addition to his parents, Armadoro and Vencencella Franz Pilone, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ida A. Pilone (Forcelli) who died in 2012 and 8 siblings. Carmen is survived by his 3 children, Carmelita M. (Phillip) DiBona of Garnet Valley, PA, Carmen A. (Diane) Pilone Jr. of Marlton, NJ and Maria R. (Late Jonathan) Ganz of Philadelphia, PA., grandchildren, Phillip (Patricia) and Joseph (Katie) DiBona, Christopher (Samantha) Pilone, Stephanie (Dominic) D'Anna and Jordyn Ganz, great grandchildren, Catherine, Anna Maria, Joseph and Anthony. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 9:00-10:15AM at St Thomas the Apostle Church, 425 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Interment will be held in St. Thomas the Apostle Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests Mass Cards.
