I'm so sorry for your loss.What has given many much comfort and hope is what is said at John 11:25. "I am the resurrection and the life.The one who exercises faith in me,even though he dies,will come to life." May that give you and your family some comfort as well.

Love you, Hap. This week I remembered the time you kept me awake all night typing a paper on my computer (a very fancy Apple 2e). You needed to read aloud each paragraph and discuss details of punctuation. I took the train to New York the next day to visit my grandparents and missed my stop because I fell asleep. This was the Dark Ages, before cell phones, and my Irish American grandmother nearly had a heart attack when I did not get off the train. I woke up in Connecticut and had to call my grandparents on a pay phone to explain. There was Hell to pay! It was worth it and I would do it all again. Thank you for being my friend. ❤️

I had the pleasure of working with Matt for several years at Medstaff. He was a good friend to both me and my wife. He was always considerate and unselfish, and someone of strong integrity. He was also a heck of a recruiter and very hard-working. We went to a few St. Joe's/Penn games together at the Palestra, and I was down there about a month ago and it made me think of him. My prayers are with Matt and his family.

John, Marti, Mark, Sean and Patrick -
My prayers, sympathies and condolences at this time. My first memory of Matt was his smile, laughter and playing games around the pool at Knowlton Swim Club. Though 'benched' many time by us lifeguards - he was filled with happiness and joy. He lifted our spirits! This will always be my lasting memory of him.
Requiescat in Pace + we look forward to seeing you again with our family and friends who have gone before us in faith. I share this poem, "Footprints In The Sand." I often used it as part of my funeral homily to many many families - may it bring you hope and comfort as it does for me.
Love -- Joe
+++
"Last night I had a dream. I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonged to me, the other to the Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. "Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."
The Lord replied, "My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of suffering, when you could see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." Author - Unknown

Please accept my sincere condolences on this terrible loss. Matt was a friend in middle school who personified good friendship. Funny, thoughtful, a good conversationalist, smart, and kind, he was already a solid and mature person in sixth grade. He was truly a good guy, and that was apparent even then. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing.

My sincere condolences to the family. It’s comforting to know the Bible tells us the condition and wonderful hope of those we have lost in death. Soon, “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice, and come out.” John 5:28,29 Revelation 21:3,4

We are so very very sorry to hear of Matthew's passing. What a lovely little boy he was, always smiling and making us laugh. I was happy that he was my Adam's friend. His obituary is so full of love from all of you and shows what a full and successful life he lived. I pray for your peace and comfort now and in the future. May Matthew rest in the bosom of the Lord until the day he sees you all again.

Hello Keenan Family,
I am so sorry to hear of this sudden loss of our dear Matt. I know he struggled and was getting out of a dark place, so it is especially sad that we have lost him at this time. I will always remember Matt's willing laughter and smile, and how he had a way of making us life guards feel joyful even on the rainy days. My thoughts are with you at this time. I will try to make the service but if not, you can know that I am with you energetically.
Sincerely,
Donna
