Obituary of William J. Hammond

William J. Hammond Jr., age 72 of Glen Mills, PA, formerly of Sayville, NY passed peacefully on March 2, 2017. Retired from the New York Times, William is survived by his wife of 47 years, Frances C. Hammond (nee Sullivan), 3 children, Patrick (Melanie) Hammond, Christina (Michael) Heffernan and William M. (Tamara) Hammond, 4 siblings, Thomas, John and Robert Hammond and Jane Flaherty and 4 grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sunday 6-8PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday 10:00AM at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 160 Ridge Road, Chadds Ford, PA. Interment St. Thomas the Apostle Church Cemetery, Glen Mills, PA.
