My dear Brother-in-law Mario, while your passing is untimely I will treasure the memories we have shared over the 45 years we have enjoyed together. The ones that come to mind are the following: baby sitting for Michael & Marryann in Upper Darby, the Charles Chips house deliveries, seeing the God Father movie together in Phila, all of the dinners we shared together with you and Connie at our respective homes, the Christmas Eve Family 7 fish dinners at Nonni's & Pop's house, the Feast of St Michael trips. Vacations down the Jersey Shore along with the crabs and spaghetti prepared with crabs that you would catch and clean, the car loads of tomatoes and more recently the jars of tomato sauce that you and Connie would send to Terry and me, the Casino trips with Connie and Terry, and most of all the example that you demonstrated on being a terrific Grand Pop to Nicole, Sara, Alex and Joey and a caring father to Maryann and Michael and a loving husband to Connie.
I have forgiven you for using up all of the hot water in the outdoor shower at Catherine's house that we used to rent in Wildwood NJ :) !
I will miss your kindness, stories and jokes, and the reminiscing we always would do when we were together. The fact that you along with my brother Ed, our cousins and uncles all worked at "below" minimum wages at Mattera's bakery in SW Philly.
Another funny memory that comes to mind is when you got hit in the leg from the bocci ball tossed by our brother-in-law Frank Spigonardo during a visit to our home in Central NJ! What made it so funny is that you were standing a 5 feet away from the court!!
"May our Lord welcome you home with and may you have a seat at his table!"
God bless you Mario, I will miss you asi, asi - ciao!!
