To Mrs. Buzby-
I am sorry for your loss. Mr. Buzby was one of the first teachers I met the day I started at Hanby Jr. High as a midyear transfer. He was a very nice teacher and great coach. He was a great example of a dedicated teacher who understood kids! I know that my late father (Bill) thought very highly of Mr. Buzby and you. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Sincerely, Forrest Medley CHS Class of 1980.

Mr Buzby, was my wrestling coach in 1974 when I was in Hanby jr High. He got us guys into great shape and made us tough. When we were both at Concord High School and would see each other, you knew you were always one of his boys! To me he was someone I looked up to because he invested in me and our team. Dirk might be gone but the impact of his life will live in all of our hearts forever. I pray for Gods peace and comfort for all of his family.

Back ion 1971 I used to hang around Hanby's Wrestling Room to show the kids of what they are doing wrong and go over it. That was where I met Dirck Buzby the head wrestling coach. We got to know each other and I challenged him to a match I was known for body slamming and good technique but he was very fast as a wrestler.
Little that I didn't realize is that Mr. Buzby's sister Marion went to Norristown High School with my parents and we really connected more. When Mr. Buzby moved to Concotd and was named the Head Wrestling Coach we would always share a joke with humor and stories.
Mr. Buzby did an outstanding job at turning the Concord Wrestling Program around with winning seasons teaching the kids to respect each other and their opponents. Mr. Buzby taught the kids respect and responsibility. He was that kind of a man. Rest in Peace Dirck you were one good man.
