To the entire family, Please know that Clare was such a wonderful person, that I've carried very special memories of her throughout my lifetime. I was blessed to have her as a 'second mum' during my childhood here in Toronto. Her smile & joyous nature made her so easy to love. Some of the best memories are of singing the songs she taught Debra and I, while she was driving us to ballet class. 'Yellow Bird' was our repeat favourite. Across the miles though, our families continued to share memories of that treasured time. Twenty years ago when my own mother was dying, both Clare & Dick came a very long way for an afternoon of laughter and sharing with my mum, Charlotte. It was honestly the last good day for my mother, and it shows how much the time and distance doesn't change the love of true friendship. It is with that note, I send my love and and support to Clare's family, to Uncle Dick, Debra, Michelle & Greg, and to all of her beloved grandchildren. No doubt you were truly blessed to have such a beautiful and loving soul as Clare's in your life. And it is with that, great sadness that I send send these condolences and remind you of the powerful angel you now have gained. No doubt, my mum was there to greet her.
