A good man left us on March 18. Caring husband, loving Dad, faithful friend to many. Bill was a magnet for people, his wit and wisdom were sources of joy and learning. He was the kind of friend who could tell you the truth (in love) and leave you wanting more.
Bill will be missed by many and I will be one of them!
I pray that God will comfort all of the Mortimer family in this difficult moment.

As a fellow Bulldog, it was Bulldogs like William Mortimer Sr. that led the way for other generations. This leadership being evidenced by his work ethic which included striving for those things above, the embodiment of our school motto “Quae sursum quaerite.” Being a part of the St. James “Wall of Honor” demonstrated William’s true commitment to the ideals associated with being a true Bulldog. My condolences to the family; you will be included in my prayers.

If you knew Mike Mortimer, there was no way you didn’t know about the many accomplishments his father achieved, about his father’s humorous gestures and bold spirit, about his genuine love and admiration for his father. He was and will always be Mike’s hero! May the Mortimer family find peace in knowing you were connected to such a great man, who lived a beautiful life and was surrounded by love and family until the very end. You did a great job with your father Mike, we all respect and honor you for that!
