Dear Holcombe Family, I did not know Alva personally, but I purchased 4 of her paintings back in the 80's. They are hanging proudly in my home. I loved her work! Dear Al and family, so sorry to hear of Alva's passing. We can rejoice in that our loss is Heaven's gain and that we'll see her again. Wish that we could be there on Friday but we were already committed to another funeral service here in Delaware but rest assured that you will all be in our thoughts and prayers! My deepest condolences go out to the entire Holcombe family at this difficult time. Alva was a very talented person and the painting she did of my father flying his kite hangs on the wall in my home. She will be missed greatly.
