Obituary of Harriet K. Kuberski

Harriet K. Kuberski, age 81, of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully on November 21, 2022. She is survived by her three children, Beth (Austin) Carney, Bob (Janet) Kuberski, Jr., and Jill (Dave) Chila, her nine grandchildren Austin (Lindsey), Regan, Owen, Brooke, Brynne, Bridgit, Tommy, Alisyn, and Julianna, a great granddaughter, Georgia, and her best friend and loving sister Doris Oates (Bill). Harriet is predeceased by her cherished husband, of 50 years, Robert K. Kuberski, Sr. who passed in 2015 along with her beloved sister, Peggy Simpson, who passed in 2021.

Harriet was born to Harry and Margaret (Clark) Kohlbrenner in Darby, PA and grew up in Ridley Township, PA. She graduated from Ridley High School Class of 1959, earned her bachelor's degree from Millersville University Class of 1963 and a master's degree from Widener University Class of 1982. She worked as an elementary school teacher in the Ridley School District (Amosland and Woodlyn) before retiring in 2002 after 32 years.

Following both Harriet and Bob's retirement, they moved to Concord Crossing in Chadds Ford, PA and after Bob's passing, Harriet moved to Maris Grove in Glen Mills, PA. Harriet was a devoted member of St. Cornelius Church, Over 50 Club of Ridley Park, Concord Crossing Book Club, Rocky Run YMCA-Silver Sneakers, PSERS, Ridley Dinner Group and the Grief Support Group (GG's) of West Chester. She enjoyed the Jersey Shore, trips with her sisters, sports (football and baseball), reading, patriotism and most importantly, her children and grandchildren.

No amount of time with the vibrant and funny Harriet would have been enough for her family and friends, though she gave us MANY memories to last several lifetimes! She was a LEGEND!

The family would like to thank the staff at both Riddle Hospital in Media, PA and Maris Grove-Rose Court in Glen Mills, PA for the incredible care provided. The family appreciates all the prayers and concerns extended during this time.

Please join us for a visitation held on Monday, November 28, from 9:15-10:15 AM at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 160 Ridge Rd, Chadds Ford, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM.
