Obituary of Shirley M. Sylvest

Shirley M. Sylvest, age 64 of Marcus Hook, PA passed away on August 27, 2022 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Born to Donald W. and Shirley Page Parker in Chester, PA, she was a lifelong resident in Marcus Hook, PA, previously residing in Chester, PA. Shirley was the Chief Deputy Prothonotary at the Media Courthouse. She also worked at Claymont Steak Shop for many years. Shirley enjoyed sitting on her porch where she loved to people watch, read her books and have long chats with friends and family. She also loved spending time tending to her flowers in her garden. She loved her late dog Rascal. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her brother, Donald Parker Jr. and her sister, Elva Parker. She is survived by her 2 sons; Matt and Zack Sylvest, her brother, James (Lou Ann) Parker, Lance Parker, her sisters; Christina (Butch) Sutherland, Pamala Cardwell, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who loved Shirley dearly. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 5-7 PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, Pa. followed by a Memorial Service at 7PM.
