I only knew Ken through facebook, but he worked with my husband on the railroad. He seemed like such a kind man, and good friend to many. I didn't know he was ill. My condolences to his family during this sad time.

When Ken told me of his father's passing it left me at a loss for words. I've known the Persing's for about 30 years and they are probably the kindest family I know.
Mr. Persing was always nice to me and have some fond memories of having a cold beverage with him and Ken.
May God bless the Persing's in their time of sadness.

I moved the DE in 89 and one of my first friends was Sommer and Kenny Persing.... My father was sick and shortly passed thereafter... My mom was working multiple jobs and the Persings took me in as one of their own. Ken was always kind and loving towards me and told the silliest jokes... He knew I loved ramen noodle and that's actually where I got the nickname NOODLES from. You will be missed by many and I know you are no longer in pain and will be waiting to greet us all on the other side!!!
Love always, Noodles -Natalie Vogel Sharpe

I’m very sadden to hear of Kenny’s passing. He and my brother Jack were friends which started back at Claymont High. They continued that friendship for many years. I was very glad to reconnect with Kenny at Atonement Church and enjoyed hearing him play the guitar. He will be missed.
