Obituary of James W. Renner

James "Jim" W. Renner, age 67, of Upper Chichester, PA, passed away at Swedish Medical Center, Denver, CO. Jim was a devoted husband and wonderful father. Cherished by many for his helping hands and warm heart. Born to Robert and Dorothy J. Renner, raised in Folsom, PA before residing in Upper Chichester for the past 45 years. Jim served as Manager of Research Craft Organization and Wilmington Area Construction at DuPont Experimental Station for 45 years, prior to retiring in 2018. He was a dedicated member to the Upper Chichester community, having served on the Planning Commission, as the Judge of Elections, and for volunteering organizations. Jim enjoyed boating at his summer home in Locust Point. In addition to his late parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Renner. Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dorothy R. Renner; his two daughters, Dorothea and her husband Ricardo Barroso Renner, Kimberly and her husband Justin Riley, and his sister, Barbara Chreiman. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 9:30-11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA. Those attending the visitation are asked to kindly wear masks.
