Obituary of Rose R. Dickens

Rose R. Dickens, age 92, of Chadds Ford, PA passed away on November 1, 2021 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Born in Downingtown, PA, Rose lived in Bethel and Concord Townships for 30 years before moving to Chadds Ford, PA. She graduated from Downingtown High School and worked as a cook at Longwood Villa, which is now Naamans Creek Country Manor. Rose was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and loved nature, birds, trees, and her little dog, Trinket. She was also fond of chickens. Most of all, Rose enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Florindo and Angelina Milanese Mattioni, she is preceded in death by her first husband, William Ciprani, second husband, Charles Dickens, son, William Ciprani Jr., and siblings, Carmella McNally and Mary Fazio. She is survived by 3 children; Jean Nelson, Steven (Sherri) Ciprani, and Alice Ciprani, brother, Domenic (Cookie) Mattioni, 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Services and interment will be private, however, the funeral service will be Livestreamed starting on Friday, Nov. 5 at 12:15 PM.
