My uncle Elmer, the brother of my mother Leah Thompson Henzel, was a special person and clinician. He was exceptional at 'old school doctoring,' preferring to use patient commentary on symptoms, his physical exam findings, and laboratory results before getting into complex diagnostic testing. In other words, he Knew his patients, and in return, they Knew him. We, the family and community, will miss his presence in our lives. He brought joy to gatherings, positivity in times of sorrow, and the 'era of good feeling' to every day living. Blessings to all, and all good things.

ElmerThompson was an incredible man. An outstanding doctor, a wonderful husband, a very caring father and the best friend you would ever want. We have been friends of both Elmer and Pat(his wife) for more then 45 years and he will be very dearly missed. He always made us laugh with his jokes and astonished us by his quick wit and wisdom. We were very fortunate to have known him and he will live forever in our memories. Joe and Liz Wrzesniewski
