Obituary of James E. Diskin

James E. Diskin, age 58, of Kennett Square, PA passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2021.  Born in Summit, NJ and raised in Westfield, NJ, James resided in Kennett Square for the past 17 years.  James earned a Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and a Master’s degree in Business and Information Systems from the University of Maryland. He was the owner and operator of Carousel Hyundai in West Chester, PA. and considered everyone there part of his extended family.

James (Jim) had a fervent zest for life and adventure. He was always the one organizing, promoting, and convincing others to join in the fun, whatever it might be. His laughter filled a room and could be heard and recognized from afar. The world will be a duller place without him. Please consider taking the adventures presented to you in life, and create them whenever possible. Jim would have loved this.

Jim’s passion was music. He loved the Rolling Stones, and attended countless concerts over the years - even managing to sneak in when he couldn’t get a ticket, a testament to his persistence in life. In recent years, Jim had the time to dedicate to his own personal growth as a musician. He loved playing the guitar, drums, and was starting to sing vocals. His most cherished music memory was performing Rolling Stones songs on stage with his son, Jimmy.

Jim also enjoyed motorcycles, boating, and spending time with family and friends at Fiddle Lake in Thompson, PA. The lake held a very special place in Jim’s heart, with generations of family memories and cherished friendships. He was so grateful to pass this on to his son and cherished spending time with him there.

James was preceded in death by his father, James E. Diskin.  He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sharon J. Diskin, his son, James A. Diskin, his mother, Dianne (Bill LaDuke) Diskin, his brother, Dan (Meg) Diskin, his sister, Lisa (John Durham) Diskin, his mother and father-in-law, Norm and Linda Farra, his brother-in-law, Norm (Donna) Farra, Jr., and his beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 10 -11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will remain private.

Donations may be made in his memory to Lives Changed by Christ (LCBC) Church (https://lcbcchurch.com/give) or Lakewood Church (https://www.lakewoodchurch.com/give), please specify “missions” as donation type). Online condolences may be made by visiting www.paganofuneralhome.com.
