In memory of James. I wish to express my sincere condolences to his entire family. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I was Jim’s flight instructor at Lincoln Flying Service, NE Phila airport, back in the 80’s. James, a real fun guy, upbeat, always positive, simply a great guy. He was an excellent student and progressed rapidly in his quest to fly and did a superb job studying and flying the trainer. A true professional and a real friend. May he Rest In Peace! “Shalom”. I don’t know what made me think of Jim last night. I am so sad to hear he has passed. We were friends in high school for a brief period and lost touch. We had no contact since then. I remember him as a very fun loving and humorous guy. I am so sorry for your loss. David Boughtwood

Jim was a great guy - unique and one of a kind, and I say that fondly. We enjoyed his talents at School of Rock in Downingtown. He put his all into every lesson, rehearsal and performance. He played several instruments - guitar, bass and drums, and occasionally he sang as well. He was always one to offer an anecdote about a song or a band when they came up at the school. I will miss our conversations and we will miss his energy and passion here at the school. Sending love and healing energy to all of the Diskins today.
