Obituary of Richard John Frawley
Richard John Frawley, age 70 of Saginaw, MI went home to his heavenly Father on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Born to Stanley and Shirley Slade Frawley, Richard was the second eldest of eight children. He was a proud graduate of the United States Naval Academy (class of '72 Company 35). While at the Academy he learned the value of teamwork through his involvement in crew. He later went on to serve as a Captain in the Marine Corps. After leaving the service, he received his Masters Degree from Wharton Business School and worked as a plant manager in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. Richard's career took him all across the US, he held residences in Glen Mills, PA, Chicago, IL, Roebling, NJ, Fredonia, NY and Columbus, OH. He ultimately decided to settle in Greenville, DE to be closer to his children and grandchildren.
Richard loved spending time with family, being active and his faith. His favorite place to be was on the lakes of Michigan where he and his family would go boating, swimming, fishing and water skiing. He also loved biking, playing card games and was an avid reader. A man of faith, he generously gave to the church, helped the less fortunate and ran youth groups for his church while in Fredonia. In addition to his parents, he is reunited with his brothers Mike and David Frawley, and his sister Peggy Frawley. Richard will be forever missed by his son, Michael W. (Casey) Frawley, and his daughters; Jennifer (Jeremy) Spisak, Jaime (Aaron) Pogue, Jessica Frawley, his grandchildren; Sam, Molly, Wyatt, Elias, River, Foster, Kaitlyn, Rachel, & Abby; his brothers; Tim (Lynda) Frawley, Tom Frawley, his sisters; Mary (Dan) Martini, Sue (Rick) Johnson; his goddaughter; Christine (Ralph) Frawley-Rivera, many nieces and nephews, Judy, and the Ellis family. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on July 24th in St. Andrews Church, 612 N. Michigan Ave. Saginaw, MI 48602. Burial will follow at St. Andrews Cemetery, 381 St. Andrews Rd.
