Obituary of Curtis G. Swift

Curtis G. Swift, age 91 of Wilmington, DE passed away on January 2, 2021 at home. Born to William H. and Grace Williams Swift, he resided for the past 56 years in Wilmington, DE. An electrician by trade, he was employed by Reynolds Springs in Chester and later, Motor Wheel in Newark, DE where he was Maintenience Supervisor. He was a member of the United Auto Workers where he also served as president while at Reynold Springs. Curt was devoted to his catholic faith and an active member of the Church of the Holy Child where he served as an usher. He proudly served his country in the Navy during WWII. In addition to his parents, Curtis is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Rita Honan Swift who passed in 1982 and his 2nd wife, Dorothy Gore Swift who passed in 2004, 2 children, Linda Phillips and Curtis A. Swift, 2 siblings, Jeannett Chechila and William C. Swift. He is survived by 3 children, Pamela Swift, William C. (Lisa) Swift and Denise (Dennis) DellaVecchia, 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, 9:30-10:30AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00AM at Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
