I first met Lois when she purchased the Penny House and I was the listing agent. I looked forward to seeing her every year at the Bethel Fire House when she wore her Colonial costume and represented the Bethel Historical Society. Last year, she was not there and some of the members said they didn't think she had been well. I still represent sellers of historic properties and will always remember Lois and her love for Penny House.

Dear Bak Family,
I was so sorry to read Lois had passed away, our family had many good times camping with you and the Curles boys. Lois would come to our mother's house when Mr. Curles would come up for a visit and we would all eat and reminisce. We will always remember the camping trips fondly and the exuberance and joy in which your mom approached life.
Fondly,
Susanne Moran

I first met Lois when she came to my home for an open house during one of Bethel Twp Founder’s Day events. I quickly learned what a special person she was. We shared many activities with the Delaware County DAR, and Bethel Twp Preservation Society events. She truly was a fun and endearing person. She will be fondly remembered.

I had the pleasure and honor of spending time and working with Lois as a member of the Delaware County Chapter DAR. As past regent, I knew I could always depend on her to volunteer her time and talents to the chapter. She was such a character and a wonderful bolt of energy at every meeting. I knew even though she had transferred to another chapter, we would still see her at our meetings, because she really did love us. We will so miss Lois. My sincere condolences to the family.

We had the pleasure of meeting Lois at St Johns. I had the added pleasure of working on the archive project (built shelves). She routinely introduced me as a helpful friend. She cared about all church projects and I learned recently she sat and engaged our youngest (11) in a number of conversations over the years. We will miss her. Thank you for sharing her with us ❤️
