Obituary of Brad A. Scott

Brad A. Scott, age 43 of Claymont, DE passed away peacefully on May 31, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at home. He was born in Upland, PA to Albert W. "Jack" and Laura Lilley Scott. Brad was raised in Linwood, PA and has resided in Claymont, DE for the past 21 years. Brad was a 28 year member of the Lower Chichester Fire Company where he began his fire career at the age of 14 and also a volunteer Firefighter at Claymont Fire Company where he served as Treasurer. Brad was a Firefighter/Heavy Vehicle Operator for the past 13 years with Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services. He spent most of his career at Banneker Station 7, where he was responsible for driving Engine 71. Brad enjoyed traveling and vacationing with his family. He also enjoyed helping to coach his daughters with softball and was a proud fan at all activities they participated in. Brad's dedication to his family was unparalleled and his commitment was unwavering. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Charlene Samsel Scott, three daughters; Alyssa, Brennah and Laini Scott, a brother, Glenn (Becky) Scott, two nephews, Zak and Joshua, his father and mother in law, Charles and Cecelia Samsel, two brothers in law, Chuck and Chad Samsel, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A public Drive-Thru visitation for Brad will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Drive, Garnet Valley, PA. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, family, friends, and relatives will be asked to form a Drive-Thru receiving line in the parking lot at the funeral home. Public Interment will follow at Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood Pa. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to continue to support educational expenses incurred by the Scott family by clicking HERE.

 

A private Funeral Service will be LIVESTREAMED for Brad by visiting our website (www.paganofuneralhome.com) or via Facebook (search Pagano Funeral Home) will begin at 10AM on Monday. The Livestreaed service will remain on our website for continued viewing at a later date.
