My Condolences to Mr. Nelsons family. I am saddened to learn of his passing.
My time spent with Mr. Nelson was in 2005 and 2006. I have recently allowed my flight instructor certificates expire, and my first thought was to look back in my logbook to see if I could locate Mr. Nelsons information to see if he was still an active pilot examiner.
I have fond memories of passing my commercial, instrument, and multi-engine exams with Mr. Nelson, and going onto a career as a professional pilot.
He was a fair man who gave lasting advice that has influenced my decision making and commitment to safe operations.
