Obituary of Michael J. Commale
Michael J. Commale, 93 of Aston, PA passed away on August 21, 2019 at his home. Born to Pasquale and Pasqualina DiTomasso Commale in Boothwyn, PA, he has resided in Aston for 50 years, previously residing in Upper Chichester. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII as Staff Sargent, stationed in France and Germany with the 23rd infantry. He later worked as a Welder at Westinghouse in Essington for 22 years before retiring in 1987. Michael was devoted to his faith and a member of St. Joseph Church in Aston, PA. He enjoyed the holidays, especially decorating for them. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Corrine Hennassay Commale who died in 2001, siblings; Mary DeFrank, Paul, Lou, and Sam Commale, and Jeanette Valentino. He is survived by his longtime companion, Doris Nickle, numerous nieces and nephews as well as loving family and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 28 from 8:30 - 9:45AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3255 Concord Rd, Aston, PA. Interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
