Obituary of Betty L. Blake

Betty L. Blake, age 67 of Boothwyn, PA passed away suddenly on August 5, 2019. Born in Milford, DE and raised in Milton, DE, she resided for the past 38 years in Boothwyn, PA. Betty currently worked as a nursing assistant at Naamans Creek Country Manor for over 14 years. She graduated from Milton High School in 1969. Betty was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Ogden where she was an AWANA leader and helped in the nursery. She enjoyed sewing, reading, painting ceramics and loved her furry grand babies. In addition to her parents William and Margaret George McIlvain, Betty is preceded in death by her 2 sisters, Peggy and Joan McIlvain. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Bill A. Blake, 3 children, Dorothy, Holly and Bill T. Blake, her twin brother, James Harvey McIlvain and brother, William McIlvain. A visitation will be held on Monday, 12:00-1:00PM at First Baptist Church of Ogden, 2446 Mill Road, Upper Chichester, PA, followed by funeral services at 1:00PM. Interment is private.
