Obituary of Fuad Sadik

Fuad Sadik, age 79, of Middletown, PA passed away suddenly on June 17, 2019. Born and raised in Kousba, Lebanon, Fuad came to the United States in 1957 to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering from Fullerton College, CA. After graduating, he moved to Philadelphia, PA where he met Betty and seven months later she became his beloved wife of fifty-five wonderful years. Betty saw that the Lord brought them together when she found out Fuad grew up in the same village as her extended family, whom she had never met. They later settled in Glen Mills where they were longtime residents and raised their family. Fuad was initially employed as a licensed civil engineer; being bilingual, he would later go on to be a liaison for multiple foreign firms managing imports and exports. He enjoyed a long and exciting career in which he frequently traveled the world. It was during this time that Betty and the boys started attending Greenridge Community Church, where Joe and Mike accepted Christ as their personal savior. When Fuad returned from overseas, he began attending church with them and soon saw his need of salvation and accepted Christ. Fuad and the boys were baptized together in 1982. They later began attending Bible Baptist Church where they have served faithfully for many years. He and his wife spent many summers vacationing at the beach with their family in both Myrtle Beach, SC and Ocean City, NJ. “Jiddo”, as he was affectionately known by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, will be remembered for his love of the ocean and his delight in playing with his grandkids. In addition to swimming, he enjoyed traveling, gardening, carpentry, cooking Lebanese cuisine, and above all else, spending time with his family. Fuad was known for his unconditional love of his family, his joyful spirit, and abundant generosity. He was loved by all who knew him and made friends quickly with his bright smile and sense of humor. His legacy lives on in his beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Joseph and Helen Sadik, he is preceded in death by two siblings, Emile and Nadia. Fuad is survived by his wife, Betty Sadik, two sons, Joseph Sadik and wife Lisa and Michael Sadik and wife Eileen, six grandchildren, Joey (Heather) Sadik, Brittany (Jared) Hufnal, Heather, Rebekah, Andrew, and Julia Sadik, two great grandchildren, Hailey and Emma, and four siblings, Elie, Eva, Lodi, and George. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22nd from 9:30AM to 11:00AM at Bible Baptist Church, 1237 Paoli Pike, West Chester, PA directly followed by a memorial service. Burial will be at Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to West Chester Christian School, 1237 Paoli Pike, West Chester, PA.
