Obituary of Paul Scalone

Paul Scalone Jr., age 103 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on June 13, 2019 at home. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he resided for the past 7 years in Wilmington, DE, previously a longtime resident of Boothwyn, PA. Paul was a mechanical engineer for Frankford Arsenal for over 40 years retiring in 1975. He was a member of St. Helena's Catholic Church and enjoyed watching the Phillies, playing solitaire, watching CNN, going to the casinos and making people laugh. In addition to his parents, Paolo and Giovanna Ciotti Scalone Sr., Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Dora Magazzina Scalone who passed in 2016, a daughter, Paulette Basciano who passed in 2014, a brother, Sam Scalone and a sister, Marie Perricone. He is survived by his daughter, Valerie Scalone, son in law Art Basciano Sr. 3 siblings, Eda Minecci, Connie Masarone and Peter Scalone, 5 grandchildren, Renee', Vince, Artie, Andrea' and Audrey, 8 great grandchildren, Brittany, Nick, Austin, Victoria, Anthony, Felicia, Vinnie and Dominic. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11AM. Interment, S.S. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
