Obituary of Joseph P. Spetzer

Joseph P. Spetzer,Jr. age 80, of Chadds Ford,PA passed away peacefully on April 22, 2019 at home. Born to Joseph Sr. and Carmella Mastantuono Spetzer in Philadelphia, PA. Joseph was a resident of Chadds Ford most of his life. He was a LaSalle High School graduate and won a National Merit Scholarship to Villanova University where he was a 1960 graduate with an electrical engineering degree. Joseph was an Electrical Engineer for Clifton Precision, a defense contractor for over 50 years of service prior to retiring in 2009. In his spare time, he was an avid horse racing fan of thoroughbreds and harness racing. Joseph also enjoyed playing with the Delaware County modified softball league. In addition to his late parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Spetzer. Joseph is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anne Butler Spetzer; his two children, Joseph P. Spetzer III (Annette) and Liz (Bryan) Thompson; two grandsons, Nathan and Jacob Thompson. Services will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the Longwood Fire Company, 1001 E.
