Obituary of William J. Hutchinson

William J. "Hutch" Hutchinson, age 88 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully at home on April 6, 2019. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Woodlyn, PA, he resided for the past 20 years in Wilmington, DE, previously residing in Brookhaven, PA. William worked for Westinghouse for 35 years retiring in 1985 and then continued working for Maguire Products in Aston, PA. William served in the Marines during the Korean Conflict and in his earlier years he was an avid fresh water fisherman, enjoyed coin collecting and working around his house, but most of all, he was devoted to his family. In addition to his parents, Elmer and Ruth Margerum Hutchinson, he is preceded in death by 4 siblings. William is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara J. McFadden Hutchinson, and a son, William C. Hutchinson and his wife Sharon. A visitation will be held on Thursday 10-11AM, at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a memorial service at 11:00AM. Interment will be private at Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear, DE. Donations in his memory may be made to Delaware Humane Association at (www.delawarehumane.org).
