Obituary of Hugh McHugh

Hugh McHugh, age 81, of Wilmington, DE passed away suddenly on March 16, 2019. Hugh is survived by his four children - Meg (John), Maureen, Michael (Megan), Michele (Hugh), his ten grandchildren- Jennifer, Joseph, Darragh, Vaughn, Avery, Sarah, Aidan, Molly, Hughie and Maggie, his two great-grandchildren as well as his longtime friend Anne Morrissey and her loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Margaret Ann Conlin McHugh and his beloved brother Jack McHugh. Hugh was a proud graduate of West Catholic High School in Philadelphia, PA. After graduation he served in the Army then spent the remainder of his career working as a Draftsman & Architectural Engineer. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with his loved ones. Hugh was devoted to his faith. For over 40 years he attended Men of Malvern spiritual retreats and he was also a member of the Church of the Holy Child. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on March 26th, 2019 from 10am-11am at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd., Wilmington, DE followed by a funeral mass at 11am. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA. Luncheon / Open House at 2pm - all are welcome to join us. If you are unable to attend services, please stop in for some food and hopefully a good laugh remembering our Dad - Michael & Megan's Home, 64 Mill Road, Thornton, PA.
