Obituary of Paul M. Morphet
Paul M. Morphet, age 60 of Marcus Hook, PA passed away on March 2, 2019. Born in Lower Merion, PA, Paul was raised in Media, PA. Paul was a supervisor for Dee Paper Solutions for 38 years. He graduated from Penncrest High School class of 1977. Paul was a provider, a caretaker, a man who would do anything for anyone. He was a pure example and living embodiment of one of his favorite Neil Young songs, "Heart of Gold". He lived each day loving the simple things that life and nature brought him. The trees and the mountain fresh air are what he enjoyed most as he would visit the Poconos every chance he had to fish, to hike, to have campfires and to be free with his family. With his many quirks, Paul knew how to bring joy and laughter to everyone around him which is described by his beloved son as his best qualities. Incredibly talented and with gifted hands, it seemed he could create anything. From woodwork or "wood art" as he called it, to fixing cars to rewiring appliances to anything that needed work, he was up for the job. As a true family man and caregiver, Paul took very excellent care of his mother and never missed a Sunday visit with his father. Countless trips to the mountains with just he and his loving wife of 40 years was how he recharged himself, and he would light up when he had the chance to get in quality time with his two grandchildren. Paul was also a sparkplug, he loved debating politics with his brothers and they mostly ended with a good laugh. Paul was a shining example of what a man should be, and his life was inspiring, humble and noble. He will be forever dearly missed and loved by his family and all those who knew him.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Norman D. Sr. and Jean B. Sarnocinski Morphet and is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna L. D'Alterio Morphet, 3 children, Sarah M. (Jason) O'Neill, Donna "Lynnie" Morphet and Steven P. (Lauren) Morphet, 3 brothers, Norman Jr. (Cindy) Morphet, Thomas (Jane) Morphet and John Morphet, 2 grandchildren, Rileigh O'Neill and Jason "Bubba" O'Neill. A visitation will be held on Thursday, 12:00-1:00PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by services at 1:00PM. Interment is private.
