Just found out yesterday about Jim's passing. So sorry for your loss.
Jim was a unique person with a huge personality and amazing sense of humor. He was an inspiration to all of us in the 650 Society and he will be missed.
He cannot be replaced but we all have wonderful memories of him. I treasure early copies of his 650 newsletter which were so informative and fun to read.
Best wishes to the family in your time of sorrow.

Dear Jeremy, Amy, Kenny and Jenna.
I am very sorry to hear the sad news of Jim's passing. What a good guy he was and a pleasure to be around. I have very fond memories of Jim, Jean and your brother Jeff at all the BYC softball games that we coached. They were always there to support the girls and you never had to look to know if they had come, you could hear them. That is how I will always remember Jim.
God bless you all.

Jim will be truly missed. I use to look forward to hearing from him in e-mails. He was my teacher at Glenbrook North High School 1964-1967. Also we liked the sequel of Peyton Place which ran in the mid 1960s.There was an actor who played a lawyer: actor James Douglas as Steven Cord. He sounded and talked just like Jim Griner. Jim referred to him as his double. They didn't look anything alike but James Douglas sure sounded and talked like him. I always told Jim Griner he could have easily played an actor. Jim sure seemed to be the Jack of all trades.dDTQT

My deepest sympathies to you all. He was my principle at Brimfield Grade School.
In 1992 or 1993 I was working at Craft Cove and he came in. I remember his big smile when I said, Hi Mr. Griner!
I'm so sorry for your loss.
May God lead you to peace and healing during this path of grief.

Thank you Jim & family for so graciously sharing your home, time, and friendship with all us 'extended' family of the Yamaha 650 Society persuasion. We love you and wish you not to grieve too much, but rather celebrate all the moments Jim shared in our own journeys. I'm sure he is on a wonderful 'ride' now and hopefully we'll see him again, down the road.

Mr. Griner was my grade school principal at Brimfield in the late 70’s and early 80’s. He was a key part of getting me the educational help I needed and I always was very grateful for that. He was a vey kind, honest and fair person, even when at times I pushed his limits :). I am truly sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
