Obituary of Raymond D. Thornton

Raymond Douglas Thornton, age 76, died on January 17, 2019. Formerly of Millsboro, DE, he was residing with his son Steven & family in Springfield, PA for the past 10 years. Doug retired from Daimler Chrysler in Newark, DE after 17 years. He enjoyed sports and was a devoted Eagles fan. In addition to his parents, Benneville and Lena Brown, he is preceded in death by his sister; Judy Moorer and his brother; Edward Thornton. Douglas is survived by his first wife; Anna Marie and their 6 children; Sheryl Ann, Anna Marie, Judy, Janice, Douglas (Sue Ann), Steven (Mary), his second wife; Karen and their son Adam, as well as seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, 10-11am at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA followed by Funeral Services at 11am. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
