Obituary of Edith E. Maher

Edith E. Maher, age 91 of Trainer, PA died peacefully on February 3, 2016. She was born in Milton, PA to the late Charles & Elva Walker Fitting. A 65 year resident of Trainer, PA, she graduated from Chester High School. Edith was devoted to raising her family and her hobbies included cooking, sewing and gardening. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Maher who died in 2005, brothers, Leslie & Robert Fitting and a sister, Gladys Williamson along with a brother who died as an infant, Nelson Fitting. She is survived by 4 children, Daniel (Yon) Maher, Joseph (Marilyn) Maher, Charles (Susan) Maher & Lorie (the late John) Brown, brother, Kenneth Fitting, sisters, Miriam Holden & Anna Griffith, 4 grandchildren, Joseph, Greg, Lorie & Charles and 2 great grandchildren, Alexandria & Jacob. Her viewing will be held on Monday, 10-11AM at the Moreland-Pagano Funeral Home, 825 Main St. Trainer, PA followed by funeral services at 11:00AM. Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
