Obituary of Margaret R. Brady

Margaret R. Brady, age 94, passed peacefully surrounded by family on December 4, 2018 at home. Born in Philadelphia to Joseph and Victoria Rusin Kurek, she was a Navy wife, devoted to her family and faith. First, as a member of St. Helena's she served as a housekeeper and crossing guard. Recently, she was a member of St. Cornelius Church. Marge was a gifted seamstress, artist, carpenter and gardener. No challenge was too great for her to meet. She was also an athlete and an avid sports fan for Duke, Phillies, Penn State and Villanova.. Her wit was amazing with the best one liners ever! In addition to her parents, Margaret is predeceased in death by her husband, William J. Brady, Jr. and siblings, Mary Ann Kurek, Theodosia Kurek, Stella Fus and Casimir Kurek. She is survived by her 4 children, Margaret M. (Late John) Melchiore, Bernadette B. (Richard) Hale, Andrea T. (Kevin) Bateman and William J. Brady, III, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, from 10-11AM at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Road, Chadds Ford, PA, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11AM. Interment, St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to St. Cornelius Church.
