Obituary of Inez I. Hulkewicz

Inez I. Hulkewicz, age 91, of Concord Twp., PA passed away on November 25, 2018. Born, raised and educated in Chester, PA, Inez was a longtime resident of Concord Twp. A devoted wife and mother, Inez also was a secretary for both the Chichester School District in the late 1960's/early 1970's and in the Garnet Valley School District in the 1980's. She was a past member of the Ogden Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and she was active in her childrens' schools, sports and scout activities. Devoted to her faith, Inez was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church for over 40 years where she also belonged to the Bible Study Group and the Charismatic Movement at Resurrection Church. In her later years, Inez belonged to the Red Hats' Society and loved to read, listen to music, dance and spend time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, Nicola and Josephine DiSilvestri Verticelli, Inez is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley who died in 2002, and a brother, Victor Verticelli. Inez is survived by 2 children, Marcy (Richard) Couch of Wilmington, DE, and David J. (Kathy) Hulkewicz of Frisco, TX, 2 sisters, Eva Garzia of St. Petersburg, FL and Rose Hinckley of Allen, TX, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Saturday, 9:30-10:30AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church (New Church), 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Interment, Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood, PA. In lieu of flowers, Mass Cards and Prayers in memory of Inez would be appreciated or a donation in her name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org).
