Obituary of Gary L. Fornwalt

Gary L. Fornwalt Sr., age 78, of Linwood, PA passed away peacefully on October 19, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Raised in Chester, PA, Gary has resided in Linwood, PA since 1979. A machinist by trade, he retired from Sun Ship in 2003. He was a member of the Boiler Maker's union where he also served as past president. In his spare time, Gary enjoyed gardening and was known for "Growing the Best Tomatoes". In addition to his parents, Edwin and Grace Witmyre Fornwalt, he is preceded in death by his 3 siblings, Ed "Buddy" Fornwalt, Kenneth "Butch" Fornwalt and Connie McDonald. Gary is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gloria R. Fornwalt (nee Rutkowski), a daughter, Sandra (Dan) Caratello, a son, Gary (Donna) Fornwalt Jr., a brother, Ronald Fornwalt, a sister, Diane Fornwalt and 4 grandchildren, Danielle, Adam, Alec, and Michael. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM. Interment will be held at the Mausoleum at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
