Obituary of Harry R. Bowen, Sr.

Harry R. Bowen Sr., age 89, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2018 at Paoli Hospital. Born in Altoona, PA, Harry was a resident of West Chester, PA. He served in the Army during WWII and afterwards retired from the U.S. Post Office where he was a clerk. In addition to his parents, Thomas and Margaret Rodkey Bowen, he is preceded in death by his wife, Janet Louise Rhodes Bowen who died in 2016. He is survived by his 4 children, Thomas (Carol) Bowen, Harry (Kathleen) Bowen Jr., Clay (Jacqueline) Bowen and Gayle (Thomas) Dimeo. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, 11AM at Elam United Methodist Church, 1073 Smithbridge Rd., Glen Mills, PA followed by Inurnment in the church cemetery.
