Obituary of Glenn C. Sowell

Glenn C. Sowell, age 74, of Upper Chichester, PA passed away peacefully on August 14, 2018 at home. Born to the late Romey George and Milfred Hood Sowell, Glenn has resided in the Creekside Village community in Upper Chichester for the past 13 years, previously residing in Ridley Park, PA.  A purchasing manager, he was employed with the Philadelphia Gear Corporation. Glenn graduated from Sharon Hill High School, class of 1961, where he ran track, played baseball and basketball. He had a passion for golf and was an avid golfer. He umpired for the local Little Leagues and enjoyed working on cars as a pastime. In addition to his parents, Glenn is preceded in death by 4 siblings, Ruth Sowell, Eunice Balcer, John Sowell and Robert Sowell.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Andrea J. Sowell (nee Paul), 3 children, Scott (Gerardo) Sowell, Pam (Mark) DeVito and Eric (Terri) Sowell, 4 grandchildren, Mark and Matthew DeVito, Katie and Eric Sowell and 2 great grandchildren, Madison and Marcelo. A visitation will be held on Friday 11:00AM-1:00PM, at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 1:00PM.  Interment, Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.
