Obituary of Kendal R. Neary

Kendal "Ken" R. Neary, age 70 died peacefully on April 15, 2016. A graduate from Media High School class of 1963, he served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Ken resided in Linwood since 1987 and previously Chester, PA. He was employed by the US Postal Service for 39 years retiring in 2005. Ken was active in the community and a devout Catholic. He was an active member of Holy Saviour Church belonging to the Knights of Columbus Council 13710 serving in numerous capacities including Grand Knight. Ken was an avid Phillies Fan always attending games. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy E. and Bessie E. Speck Neary and a sister, Rhonda Neary. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Hazel C. Cummiskey Neary, son Michael (Samantha) Neary & 2 siblings, Marsha and Radford Neary. A viewing will be held on Tuesday 8:30-10:15AM at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 4225 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council 13710, P.O. Box 951, Linwood, PA 19061.
