Obituary of Ernest H. Wiles

Ernest H. Wiles, Jr., 82, passed into glory on Wednesday, August 8, at Sunrise at Westwood in West Chester. Ernie was born in Chester on October 31, 1935. Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Ruth Wiles, his wife of 40 years, Patricia Kunce Wiles who died in 1996 and daughter in law, Shelley Wiles who died in 2015. He is survived by three children, John, Michael (Nance), and Donna (Wayne) in addition to grandchildren and great grandchildren, also siblings, Mary (Eric), David (Annie) and Donald (Kris), and Janet. Ernie worked at Garnet Valley School System in the transportation department. After retirement, he worked as a school crossing guard, often seen in various costumes to put a smile on the faces of the children. He enjoyed billiards, fishing, hunting, and riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle. A visitation will be held on Monday 10-11AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. followed by Funeral services at 11AM. Interment, Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.
