Obituary of James T. Cox

James T. Cox, age 77 of Boothwyn, PA died on July 30, 2018 at home. Born in Scranton, PA, he was a longtime resident of Boothwyn. James was an agent for Delta Airlines for 30 years retiring in 1993. After retirement he was a school bus driver for 17 years for Garnet Valley School District. James graduated from Scranton Technical School. He attended Chichester United Wesleyan Church. He was an avid golfer and member of Delcastle Golf Club. James enjoyed spending summers at Lake Underwood Nimrod Club and was a longtime Eagles fan "Go Birds". He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Doris Telford Cox and a sister, Jane Urbanick. James is survived by his wife of 54 years, Madeline A. Hughes Cox, 3 children, James C. (Cathy) Cox, David T. (Lisa) Cox and Susan (John) Burgoyne, 2 siblings, Jeff Cox and Judith Durkin, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. A visitation will be held on Monday 10-11AM, at Concord Liberty Presbyterian Church, 256 Bethel Road, Glen Mills, PA, followed by a memorial service at 11:00AM. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 12:00PM at Fairview Memorial Cemetery, Elmhurst, PA. Donations in his memory may be made to American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
