On the one hand, I am so sorry for your loss. Mr Brown was such a man of influence in so many ways and in so many lives. Two things stand out for me... during Vacation Bible School as a preteen he had us make a flower box as a craft. He had all the parts cut and the flowers ready to go in the box and then insisted that we decoupage a hymn page to the back of it. When I chose "Seeking The Lost" as my hymn of choice, he looked at me and said "I hope that you always remember this song...as a way of life." That had such a huge impact on me, largely because he was so insistent that it was a big deal. The second thing that stands out to me is the day he gave me a Bible. It's a big one and I still use it on occasion but what was so important was that he gave it to me shortly after I was adopted...and seeing the new name that he had printed on the cover was the first time that I actually was seeing my new, adopted name in print. I will not forget that moment. I grieve with you on this day but on the other hand, I rejoice with you, knowing that his reward is great in heaven. His frozen hand is free, his weakened body is strong...and his contagious faith is finally sight. My prayers are with you as you work through the days ahead.
