Obituary of Valerie A. Yerger

Valerie A. Yerger, age 49, of Claymont, DE passed away on July 10, 2018 at Delaware Hospice in Milford, DE. A resident of Claymont most of her life, Valerie graduated from Claymont High School, class of 1986. She then received her Bachelors in Education from West Chester University. Valerie taught pre-school at Coventry Pre-school. She was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she served as Eucharistic Minister. She also was a substitute teacher for the Holy Rosary school at one time. Always willing to help, Valerie volunteered at the church with Bingo and the church Carnival. She enjoyed spending time with her family traveling and going to the beach in both Lewes, DE and Rehoboth Beach. Valerie is survived by her husband, John Yerger, 2 children, Emma and Anna Yerger, parents, Richard and Patricia Mitchell Psioda, siblings, Robert and Barbara Psioda and 3 nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018, 10:30AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE where friends may call from 9:30-10:30AM. Interment will remain private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Valerie's memory may be made to the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 503 Duncan Rd., Wilm., DE 19809 (please memo checks "Donation to the Covenant Preschool" ).
