Obituary of Alida D. Brant

Alida D. Brant, age 86 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away peacefully on July 2, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at home. Born in Ogden, PA, Alida was a resident of Concord Twp. for 10 years, previously residing in Bethel Twp., PA and Claymont, DE. A homemaker, she was devoted to her family & home. In addition to raising her children, Alida also raised several foster children and was a second mom to her nieces and nephews. Devoted to her faith, Alida was a Charter Member of the Chichester United Wesleyan Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Dagmar Friedel Boyles, son, Arthur "Buddy" F. Brant III, grandson, Jesse C. Brant, a brother, William Boyles, a sister, Helen Hickey and also three infants. Alida is survived by her husband of 66 years, Arthur "Bud" F. Brant Jr., 2 children, Dora V. (Dean) Mencer and Darryl T. (Karen) Brant, sister, Clara Rash, 4 grandchildren, Amanda, Justin, Rachel and Heather also a great granddaughter, Meadow. A visitation will be held on Thursday 6-8PM & Friday 9-10AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 10:00AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. Donations in her memory may be made to the Chichester United Wesleyan Church, 5151 Chichester Ave., Chichester, PA 19014.
