Obituary of Margaret C. Creel

Margaret "Marge" C. Creel, age 87, of Glen Mills, PA died on May 25, 2018 at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media, PA. Born to the late Willard and Sarah Devine Conger in Las Vegas, NM and raised in La Junta, CO, she met her future husband while working at the Texaco Refinery in Casper, WY. Marge resided for the past 8 years at the Maris Grove Retirement Community. She previously lived in Woodbury Heights, NJ for 45 years and West Deptford, NJ. A homemaker, she graduated from St. Scholastica Academy in Canon City, CO in 1948. She was a member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Chadds Ford, PA and a former longtime member of St. Margaret Church, Woodbury Heights, where she was a Eucharistic Minister. Marge was a devout Catholic and carried her faith to the end. Family members called on her to pray to the Lord for special needs. She enjoyed cooking, baking and decorating cakes, playing bridge, traveling and hosting family events including Thanksgiving. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Marge is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harold "Preston" Creel Jr., 4 children, Saralynne (Brad) Bute, Jim (Janet) Creel, Hal (Sarah) Creel and Diana (Greg) Allen; 10 grandchildren, Colleen, Megan, Kathleen, Jenna, Chase, Laura, Matthew, Jillian, Sean and Brady; and 3 great-grandchildren, Madeleine, Elizabeth and Savannah. A visitation will be held on Mon., June 4, 10-11 a.m., at the Infant Jesus Catholic Church (formerly St. Margaret Church), 845 Third St., Woodbury Heights, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment, Wenonah Cemetery, Mantua Township, NJ. Donations in her memory may be made to the Maris Grove Resident Care Fund, 200 Maris Grove Way, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
