Obituary of Joseph M. Rappucci Sr.
Joseph M. Rappucci Sr., age 89, of Aldan, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home on May 17, 2018. Raised in Marcus Hook, PA, Joe was a longtime resident of Aldan, PA and Southwest Philadelphia. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, Joe was employed by BP/Sinclair as an Operator for 42 years retiring in 1994. In addition, he held his Real Estate license as a broker and agent. An active man, Joe was a well known Crossing Guard in Aldan, who's corner was referred to as "Joe's Corner". Joe had an outgoing and welcoming personality which he brought with him to St. Eugene's Senior's Social Club where he enjoyed playing cards and socializing with his friends. He also looked forward to his trips to the casino. "Joe had a Good Life". He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart in Clifton Heights, a proud member of the Korean War Veterans Assn. and the Honor Flight Organization. In addition to his parents, Carmine and Rose Marie D'Angelis Rappucci, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carmella Pellegrino Rappucci who died in 2012, a son, Joseph M. Rappucci Jr. who died in 2006, two brothers, Ralph and Anthony Rappucci and two sisters, Carmella Trasatti and Sr. Rose Carmel, SND. He is survived by two devoted daughters, Joanne (Jon) Gardner and Patricia (James) McPeak, five loving grandchildren, Jamie Marie, Eric, Emily, Joey and Maggie and a brother, Louis Rappucci. A viewing will be on May 22, 2018 Tuesday, 9:00-10:15AM at St. Eugene's Catholic Church, 200 Oak Ave., Primos, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
