Obituary of Richard C. Elliott

Richard C. Elliott, 66, of Boothwyn, PA passed away suddenly on May 15, 2018 at home. Richard was the son of the late Benjamin A. F. Elliott Sr. and the late Emma (Embert) Elliott. Raised in Boothwyn, he resided many years in Claymont, DE currently residing in Boothwyn for the past 11 years. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and was employed by the State of Delaware as a Tax Accountant for over 35 years. Richard was devoted to his faith and a member of the Elam United Methodist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher for several years. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed bowling and softball. Richard was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, however his passion was spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his 2 siblings, Benjamin A. F. Elliott Jr. and Betty McDermott. He is survived by his wife of 45 years: Anna M. (Scott) Elliott; two daughters: Carly Elliott & Christi Hall and her husband: Terry J. Hall, Jr.; sister: Diane Scott; three grandchildren: Bryce, Cynthia & Audrey; two sisters-in-laws: Trish Nedwick & Michelle Elliott; niece: Janice McDermott & nephew: Benjamin "Rusty" Elliott, III; and several other nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 19 from 9:00-10:45AM, a Military Honor will be presented at 10:45AM and directly followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00AM at Elam United Methodist Church, 1073 Smithbridge Road, Glen Mills, PA. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Elam United Methodist Church, 1073 Smithbridge Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
