Obituary of William Thomas Magaw

William Thomas Magaw Sr., age 79 of Boothwyn, PA died on April 4, 2016 at Fair Acres. Born to the late Percy & Ida Shelton Magaw in Chester, he has resided in Boothwyn for the past 50 years. Educated at Chester High, he graduated in 1954 and served in the Army. He retired from Boeing after 27 years in 2000. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies. Bill loved playing the game of basketball and he played in many leagues in the area. He also enjoyed bowling and several leagues. He was known for his devotion to his family and always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara J. Abbott Magaw, children, William T. Magaw Jr., Barbara A. Magaw, Lisa N. Magaw & Melody A. Magaw, brothers, Percy & James Magaw and 3 granddaughters, Kaylee, Albany & Christina. His visitation will be held on Saturday, 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 11:00AM. Interment Private.
